ELB EQUIPMENT’S DESMOND VAN HEERDEN WITH THE AMMANN DEALER OF THE YEAR 2018 FOR COMPACTION EQUIPMENT
ELB Equipment has proved its metal once again by winning a global supplier award among more than 500 equipment dealers across the globe.
The Ammann Top Dealer Award 2018 for Compaction Equipment recognizes top-performing dealers of the Swiss equipment manufacturer’s equipment internationally. Perhaps unsurprisingly, after a number of bumper sales years, the South African dealer was announced as a top performer worldwide for its impressive sales, support and logistics for Ammann compaction equipment.
Since taking on the agency for Ammann compaction equipment in 2014 ELB Equipment has led the brand to make massive inroads into the local compaction and road paving equipment market and placed the brand firmly among the top three suppliers locally.
“This is a considerable achievement considering the quality and status of our opposition. We therefore attribute our success to a combination of our excellent reputation in the industry, as well as the quality of Ammann products, our large support footprint and reputation for quality of service and supply.
“With the correct ingredients we have taken the market by storm with the right product, at an affordable price and with backup to ensure a long and productive lifespan of the equipment. As a result, it has become the product of choice for contractors in South Africa and a preferred brand when it comes to compaction and road construction,” says ELB Equipment divisional director Desmond van Heerden.
He mentions that the company offers a full range of compaction equipment including rammers and plate compactors, as well as walk behind, tandem, pneumatic tyre rollers, soil compactors and pavers.
As a result, it is popular with contractors ranging from large contractors dealing with national infrastructure, to small scale developers and Government departments. The range is especially popular with emerging contractors who are able to undertake contracts with the extraordinary compacting-ability of the walk behind range and later upgrade to larger machines.
“Hot on the heels of the award we also recently announced all-new extended warranties across the range with 36 months or 3000-hour warranties for all our walk behinds, rammers and plate compactors and two year or 2000 hours for our large machines. This is sure to boost the range and further extend its popularity in the marketplace,” concludes Desmond.
